Job summary

Brunning & Price at The Mytton and Mermaid in Shrewsbury is seeking a Sous Chef who loves fresh food cooking to join our kitchen team. You will work closely with the Head Chef to run the kitchen, develop dishes and lead a busy crew.

We offer a competitive package with basic up to £36,000, bonus up to £1,500 per year, paid overtime, great tips, free meals on shift, pension and staff discounts. Join us and grow with B&P.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in catering and hospitality in a restaurant, gastro pub or hotel at junior sous, sous or kitchen manager level is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and drive the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.

Responsibilities

• Run the kitchen alongside the Head Chef and drive the food culture.
• Lead and train the kitchen team to prepare fresh, high-quality dishes.
• Develop and introduce new menu items to keep customers engaged.

About you...

Previous experience in catering and hospitality in a restaurant, gastro pub or hotel at junior sous, sous or kitchen manager level is essential, as well as a positive attitude.
