Job summary

The Ox Row Inn is seeking a creative Sous Chef in Salisbury to act as deputy to the Head Chef and manage kitchen operations in their absence. You will work with fresh, seasonal ingredients and lead a motivated team to deliver high-quality meals.

We value pride in every service, strong hygiene knowledge, and a drive to bring new ideas to the menu. Induction and ongoing training are provided, with earnings supported by Wagestream.

Qualifications

• Experience as sous chef or deputy to head chef.
• Ability to lead kitchen team and coordinate service.
• Strong knowledge of hygiene and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as deputy to the Head Chef and manage kitchen when they are away.
• Prepare fresh food using seasonal, local ingredients.
• Bring new ideas and develop dishes for the menu.
• Bring out the best in the kitchen team and ensure a smooth service.
• Take pride in every service and uphold high standards of cleanliness.
