Job summary

JW Lees is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at our Rochdale pubs and inns. You will lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, help develop menus, manage stock and ensure a safe, compliant kitchen while guiding junior staff.

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a busy environment.
• Able to contribute to menu development and maintain high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Support with menu development, stock management and maintaining a safe and compliant kitchen.
• Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members and maintain high standards.
• Ensure that high standards and attention to detail are maintained, working with the team to achieve and maintain 5* Scores on the doors.
• Continuously motivate the team to ensure fresh, quality food is presented on every service.
• Play an integral role in training and developing junior team members.
