Job summary

Butcombe Group is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our team in the UK. You will work in a bustling kitchen, delivering exceptional food and memorable dining experiences across our picturesque pubs and inns.

You will collaborate with the Head Chef, lead day-to-day kitchen operations, and mentor junior chefs while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency and presentation.

• Ability to deliver exceptional food and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Working alongside the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.
• Supporting with food preparation, service and day-to-day kitchen management.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation across every dish.
• Coaching and mentoring chefs within the team, sharing knowledge and building capability.
• Helping to manage stock, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Taking the lead in the Head Chef's absence and supporting the development of the wider kitchen team.
• Playing a key role in creating a positive, collaborative and high-performing kitchen culture.
