Job summary

Global Highland is recruiting for a passionate and motivated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team of our client within a group of hotels on the Isle of Skye. You will work alongside the Head Chef to lead a busy kitchen and uphold high standards of food quality and hygiene.

The role is full-time, 45 hours per week, with live-in accommodation available, offering a supportive, fast-paced environment in a stunning location.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Sous Chef or senior chef role.
• Passionate about delivering high standards in a busy kitchen.
• Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure.
• A positive team player with good communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes.
• Helping to lead, motivate and support the kitchen team.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
• Managing food preparation and stock levels.
• Ensuring a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys working in a busy kitchen and takes pride in producing high-quality fresh food. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will help lead the kitchen team, maintain high standards and ensure the smooth running of daily service.
