Job summary

Global Highland are recruiting a passionate Sous Chef to join the kitchen team of our client within a group of hotels in Skye. You will work closely with the Head Chef, helping lead the kitchen, maintain high standards and ensure smooth daily service.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys busy kitchen environments and delivering high-quality fresh food, with live-in accommodation available.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or senior chef role.
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes.
• Helping to lead, motivate and support the kitchen team.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards.
• Managing food preparation and stock levels.
• Ensuring a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys working in a busy kitchen and takes pride in producing high-quality fresh food. Working alongside the Head Chef, you will help lead the kitchen team, maintain high standards and ensure the smooth running of daily service.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes
• Helping to lead, motivate and support the kitchen team
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards
• Managing food preparation and stock levels
• Ensuring a clean, organised and efficient kitchen
• Taking responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Sous Chef or senior chef role
• Passionate about food and delivering high standards
• Reliable, organised and able to work well under pressure
• A positive team player with good communication skills
• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
• Driving licence preferred but not essential
