HF Holidays Limited's Holnicote Country House in Somerset is seeking a proactive Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering a traditional British menu for up to 55 guests on walking holidays. You’ll manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence, ensure health and safety, and lead the team including a Kitchen Assistant and Porter.
The role offers live-in accommodation with meals, 28 days holiday, pension contributions, and various staff discounts and wellbeing support.
Location: Holnicote House, Selworthy, Minehead, Somerset, TA24 8TJ
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £31,411per annum
Live Out or Live in: Live in accommodation available inclusive of all bills, 3 meals per day, Laundry & Free Wifi

Working in our HolnicoteCountry House we provide a retreat for up 55 guests who stay with us for guided or self-guided walking tour holidays. We always know when and where our guests need serving. We know the number of guests we will be hosting each week, and our mealtimes are fixed. We plan our menus in advance and get pre orders for lunch and dinner. Your role as Sous Chef will be to support the Head Chef to prepare and serve our Traditional British menu consisting of Breakfast, packed lunches and a 3-course evening meal served banqueting style. You will be responsible for managing the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence including the implementation of Health & Safety, developing and supervising our Chef, Kitchen Assistant and Kitchen Porter staff. Or sous chef’s regularly do stock take duties and ordering from our external suppliers.
