Job summary

Packe Arms by Vintage Inns is seeking a motivated Sous Chef with a passion for great food and developing kitchen teams. You’ll run a section, lead the team in the Head Chef’s absence, and ensure dishes meet brand standards.

Join us at Mitchells & Butlers pubs for flexible shifts, staff discounts, training opportunities, and progression. You’ll work with a branded menu and uphold health and hygiene regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior cook in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to lead and develop kitchen teams.
• Strong understanding of health and safety in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen section and ensure the team work as a cohesive unit.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver consistently high-quality dishes.
• Support the Head Chef with food ordering, prep, and stock control.
• Maintain a branded menu throughout service and ensure consistency.
• Manage chefs and the wider kitchen team with clear communication.
• Ensure compliance with health and hygiene regulations across the kitchen.
