Role: Sous Chef

As Sous Chef, you'll be the Head Chef's go-to support, leading and engaging the kitchen team to deliver 14 great shifts week in, week out.

You'll be leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely. You'll focus on details like stocks, Health & Safety, Hygiene, manning the pass to ensure our food goes out on-spec and on-time, and maintaining 5-star kitchen standards.

What you'll bring
  • Likely an existing Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager aiming for the next step
  • Experience with fresh ingredients and strong chef skills (food prep, hygiene, knife skills)
  • A proactive work ethic, leading from the front and delivering high standards
  • Driven and relentless in overcoming challenges
  • Familiarity with KPIs, decision-making in the absence of the Head Chef, labour, stock, and food safety
  • Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders and build trust
  • Knowledge of rota scheduling, sales and labour forecasts, reporting, recruitment, HR
  • Experience in training and recruiting kitchen staff at various levels
