Job summary

The Rose & Crown in the UK is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a kitchen section, train a cohesive team, and step in for the Head Chef as needed. You’ll work within the Vintage Inns family, delivering great food in a welcoming pub setting.

You will manage food ordering, stock control, and ensure compliance with health and hygiene standards while mentoring junior chefs and driving consistency across service.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team.
• Experience training and mentoring staff.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
