Job description

Job Title: Sous Chef

Vacherin is committed to delivering deliciously different experiences, having fun, and conducting business with a social and environmental conscience. We are recruiting for a Sous Chef to work at Charles Russell Speechlys.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and support the kitchen team, including the Executive Chef, 2 CDPs, and 1 KP, ensuring daily tasks are managed effectively and efficiently.
  2. Maintain clear and concise communication with the team, ensuring alignment with daily objectives, special requests, and operational needs.
  3. Set standards for kitchen practices, including cleanliness, punctuality, and professionalism, while maintaining high hygiene and organization standards.
  4. Bring a strong background in fine dining, ensuring food quality, presentation, and service meet guest expectations and uphold the restaurant’s reputation.
  5. Research and incorporate the latest culinary trends and techniques, supporting menu planning and development with the Executive Chef.
