Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC in Groes-faen invites applications for a Sous Chef role within the Castell Mynach and Vintage Inns family. You will lead a kitchen section, train a team, and step up in the Head Chef’s absence while ensuring consistent quality and brand standards.

You will oversee food ordering, prep, and stock control, while maintaining health and hygiene excellence and delivering a welcoming dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen as a chef.
• Ability to train and lead kitchen staff.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Master the art of working with a branded menu.
• Manage Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team with confidence.

As a Sous Chef at the Castell Mynach, you will have a passion for serving great food, training great people and leaving a smile on our guests faces. You’ll run a section, ensuring your team are working together as one and you will be the person to step up in leading the team in the absence of the Head Chef. Does this sound like you?
