Job summary

Ember Inns is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to lead a section, train staff and ensure great food for guests. You will step up in the Head Chef’s absence, driving the kitchen forward in a friendly, community-focused pub environment.

You’ll manage ordering, stock and menu execution, while supporting the Head Chef and upskilling your team to maintain the Ember standard.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team and delivering high standards.
• Ability to train and develop chefs to perform at their best.
• Experience with food ordering, stock control and menu execution.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
