Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is seeking a Sous Chef for Ember Inns at the King Edward VII. The successful candidate will lead a kitchen section, train staff and support the Head Chef with ordering, prep and stock control while maintaining a branded menu.

You will nurture a cohesive team, drive targets, ensure health and hygiene compliance and contribute to ongoing guest satisfaction in a community pub setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
• Ability to lead a kitchen section and manage a team.
• Knowledge of health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the kitchen section with your team.
• Train and inspire the team to deliver food you’re proud of.
• Assist Head Chef with food ordering, prep and stock control.
• Work confidently with a branded menu.
• Manage Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Ensure compliance with health and hygiene regulations.
