Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Sous Chef at Cheriton Care Home in Dorchester to support the kitchen team in preparing nutritious meals and snacks for residents. You will help maintain cleanliness, follow food safety guidelines, and contribute to a warm dining experience for residents.

Ideal candidates will have kitchen experience, be reliable and team-oriented, and able to work 42 hours per week, including alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ right to work in the UK.
• Previous kitchen experience.
• Flexible to work 42 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
• A positive, team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support the chef to prepare balanced, nutritious meals and snacks.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow food safety, COSHH, and health & safety guidelines.
• Work both independently and as part of the team.
• Engage with residents, bringing warmth and friendliness to the dining experience.
