AsSous Chef, you’ll play a vital role in launching and supporting the leadership of a vibrant, multi-outlet kitchen operation at one of the region’s most exciting new destinations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Head Chefin delivering the culinary vision across the Farmshop, Café Restaurant, Barista Coffee Bar, Playbarn Café, Concessions, and Events & Hospitality spaces
  • Supervising and mentoring kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and hygiene are maintained at all times
  • Managing daily kitchen operations, including food prep, stock rotation, allergen control, and assisting with supplier coordination
  • Working closely with front-of-house and events teamsto ensure smooth service for school visits, weddings, seasonal events, and private functions
  • Maintaining consistency and efficiencyacross a logistically varied site, ensuring timely and high-quality food delivery
  • Upholding food safety and hygiene standards, including compliance with HACCP procedures
  • Contributing to menu development, bringing creativity and seasonal inspiration to the table

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as aSous CheforSenior Chef de Partiein ahigh-volume, quality-focused environment
  • A strong background inwedding and event catering—you know how to deliver under pressure and support seamless execution
  • A track record ofsupporting, training, and motivating kitchen teamsto maintain consistently high standards
  • Financial awareness, with experience in food cost control, GP targets, stock management, and supplier coordination
  • Excellentcoaching and delegation skills—you lead by example and support the Head Chef in developing the team
  • Highlyorganised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure, especially during peak service
  • Anempathetic and effective communicatorwith a collaborative, solution-focused mindset
  • Strongmenu execution, planning, and problem-solvingabilities
  • Able towork 5 out of 7 days, including weekends and evenings as required by the operation
