Job summary

Hallmark Luxury Care Homes in the United Kingdom is seeking a Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and lead kitchen operations with warmth and professionalism, delivering nutritious, seasonal menus for residents.

You will design appetising meals, maintain high hygiene standards (HACCP), manage stock and budgets, and engage with residents to tailor dishes while ensuring a welcoming, family‑oriented dining experience with no evenings and every other weekend off.

Qualifications

• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent culinary qualifications.
• Strong understanding of nutrition and fresh ingredients.
• Ability to design appetising, nutritious menus with residents' preferences.
• Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen leadership in the absence of the Head Chef.
• Assist in developing innovative menus.
