Job summary

Butcombe Pubs & Inns is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to join our busy kitchen teams across the UK. You’ll help lead the kitchen alongside the Head Chef, prepare dishes to high standards and support the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy kitchens and leadership roles.
• Ability to coach and mentor junior staff.
• Strong understanding of food safety and presentation.

• Supporting the Head Chef to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently and safely.
• Getting involved in food preparation, service and the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency and presentation.
• Coaching and mentoring the team, sharing your knowledge and helping others develop.
• Supporting stock control, ordering and kitchen compliance.
• Taking the lead in the Head Chef’s absence and helping drive the kitchen forward.
• Creating a positive, supportive team culture where everyone can do their best work.

About the Role
