Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc is seeking a Sous Chef at Merlin to lead a busy kitchen, train staff, and ensure top quality food. You will work under the Head Chef, manage stock and ordering, and uphold brand standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as sous chef or in a senior kitchen role.
• Ability to lead and train a kitchen team to deliver consistent quality.
• Strong stock management and food ordering capabilities.
• Familiarity with branded menus and kitchen SOPs.
• Knowledge of health and safety/hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
