Job summary

Addition is seeking a Sourcing Manager for Retail & Business Operations in the UK. You will lead end-to-end strategic sourcing across Facilities Management, Business Operations and Retail Operations, building strong supplier partnerships and driving commercial value.

Sourcing Manager - Retail & Business Operations

Salary: £90,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

We\'re partnering with a leading UK organisation to appoint an experienced Sourcing Manager – Retail & Business Operations to lead strategic sourcing activities, strengthen supplier partnerships and drive commercial value across key operational categories.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused sourcing professional to take ownership of end-to-end procurement processes, develop strategic supplier relationships and drive sustainable cost efficiencies across a complex business environment.

We\'re particularly interested in candidates with extensive experience in Facilities Management and Retail Operations sourcing, who can combine strategic planning with strong commercial negotiation, stakeholder engagement and supplier management capabilities.

The Opportunity

As Sourcing Manager, you\'ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering sourcing strategies across Facilities Management, Business Operations, Retail Operations and associated categories.

Working closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, you\'ll lead the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle, from supplier research and market analysis through to tendering, contract negotiations, supplier selection and onboarding.

This is a commercially focused role requiring someone who can balance strategic sourcing with hands-on delivery, build trusted relationships across the business and identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, operational efficiency and long-term commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

You\’ll play a key role in driving sourcing excellence by:

• Developing and implementing strategic sourcing plans across Facilities Management, Retail Operations and wider business functions.
• Leading end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier research, market analysis, shortlisting, RFI and RFP processes, supplier selection and onboarding.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop a pipeline of current and future sourcing opportunities.
• Managing strategic supplier relationships, ensuring commercial agreements deliver value, quality and operational effectiveness.
• Leading commercial negotiations and collaborating with Legal teams to develop and finalise supplier contracts.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing sourcing forecasts and tracking financial benefits against agreed objectives.
• Coordinating supplier evaluations, presentations and selection processes in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Developing category sourcing roadmaps to support long-term business objectives, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ensuring sourcing activities comply with internal governance requirements, policies and sustainable procurement principles.
• Collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to improve sourcing processes, supplier performance and commercial outcomes.

About You

You will be an experienced Sourcing Manager with a strong background in strategic procurement, excellent commercial negotiation capabilities and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.

You will also have:

• Proven sourcing and procurement experience across Facilities Management and Retail Operations, with strong category knowledge in both areas.
• At least 5 years' experience selecting, onboarding and managing suppliers.
• Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management and end-to-end procurement processes.
• Experience drafting, negotiating and managing supplier agreements across Facilities Management, Business Operations or Retail categories.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.
• Strong commercial awareness, including cost management, savings forecasting and supplier performance optimisation.
• Experience managing RFI and RFP processes, supplier evaluations and contract negotiations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused approach.
• A proactive, self‑motivated mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive requirements.
• An understanding of sustainable procurement practices and responsible sourcing principles.
• The flexibility to support sourcing activities across additional business categories when required.
