Job summary

FUJIFILM Biotechnologies in Billingham, UK, is seeking a Sourcing & Procurement Manager to optimise a £60m spend portfolio. The role focuses on delivering cost savings, managing supplier performance and aligning local needs with regional and global strategies.

You will lead sourcing projects, partner with global procurement, and engage stakeholders to secure the best terms and value for the site. A strong track record in negotiations and category management is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' procurement experience with a track record in sourcing and commercial negotiations.
• Proven experience negotiating contracts and terms with high-risk suppliers.
• Strong stakeholder management, supplier relationship, communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of category management, strategic sourcing and supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost-saving initiatives and sourcing projects across assigned spend categories.
• Partner with regional and global Procurement to leverage scale and secure optimal solutions.
• Engage stakeholders across the site to build buy-in and deliver value-focused outcomes.
• Create value with external partners (e.g., reduced lead times, improved payment terms, innovative supply solutions).
• Apply approved tools, systems and methodologies in day-to-day sourcing and buying.
• Implement supplier performance management processes and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Champion compliant buying and contracting processes and support audit readiness.
• Track category trends, conduct market research and communicate key insights and risks.
• Build strong relationships with functional teams to understand and prioritise business needs.
• Negotiate contracts and terms with strategic and higher-risk suppliers.
