About Our Client
This client is a global financial services platform.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide support for all trading and back-office platforms offered by the organization to both internal and external clients.
- Have a strong understanding of Sophis - portfolio management and risk management for equity and equity derivatives trading.
- Support business users, offering second- and third-line support.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
- Manage new system analysis and implementation.
- Liaise between technology department and business groups to communicate system changes.
- Maintain process and trading system documentation to a high standard.
- Prioritize active tasks through workflow management.
- Manage vendor system upgrades and implementations.
- Coordinate exchange relationships and project manage mandatory upgrades.
- Oversee technical client onboarding.
- Complete exchange reporting and compliance audits.
- Handle client technical requirements within the technology department.
- Generate monthly transactional and volume reports across all systems.
The Successful Candidate
Required competencies, skills, and experience include:
- Solid background in Windows, Linux/Unix OS, and experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.
- Ability to work under demanding conditions with a calm demeanor.
- Deep understanding of Sophis - portfolio management and risk management for equity and equity derivatives trading.
- Experience in a financial services environment, ideally in finance.
- Teamwork skills in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of ITIL and change management processes.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with application development teams and business sponsors.
- Knowledge of trading/clearing/operational processes in settlement of futures and OTC.
- Experience with exchange and vendor management.
- Support experience with Fix Messaging protocol is advantageous.
- Knowledge of market connectivity protocols for global derivative, commodity, cash, and equity markets.
- Experience onboarding new APIs and systems technically.
