Job summary

Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay is seeking a talented Sommelier to join our team. You will bring strong wine knowledge, premium service experience and a passion for wine pairings to create memorable guest experiences.

You will work closely with the Head Sommelier and restaurant team to uphold high standards of wine service, cellar organization and staff training, delivering a refined and engaging dining journey for guests at our level-60 restaurant in London.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of wine and ability to create memorable guest experiences through thoughtful recommendations and exceptional service.
• WSET Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in a premium or fine dining environment and guiding guests through wine pairings and recommendations.
• Work closely with Head Sommelier and wider restaurant team to deliver a seamless food and wine experience.
• Confidently share knowledge with colleagues, supporting training and development of junior team members.
• Maintain high standards of wine service, cellar organisation and stock presentation.
• Build rapport with guests and colleagues to create a warm and engaging dining experience.
• Organised, proactive and passionate about wine, delivering exceptional service.

Lucky Cat is one of five unique Gordon Ramsay Restaurant experiences at 22 Bishopsgate and Europe’s tallest restaurant - Asian inspired small plates, Robata grills, sushi and sashimi, exquisitely crafted in the open kitchen and raw bar.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Sommelier to join our team at Lucky Cat by Gordon Ramsay.

What you do as a Sommelier:

• You have a strong knowledge of wine and enjoy creating memorable guest experiences through thoughtful recommendations and exceptional service
• You hold a WSET Level 2 qualification (or equivalent), with a passion for continually developing your wine knowledge
• You have experience working in a premium or fine dining environment and are confident guiding guests through wine pairings and recommendations
• You work closely with the Head Sommelier and wider restaurant team to deliver a seamless food and wine experience.
• You are confident sharing your knowledge with colleagues, supporting the training and development of more junior team members
• You take pride in maintaining high standards of wine service, cellar organisation and stock presentation
• You naturally build rapport with guests and colleagues, using your communication skills to create a warm and engaging dining experience
• You are organised, proactive and passionate about wine, always striving to deliver exceptional service
