Job summary

Logistex in the United Kingdom is seeking a Solutions Estimator to translate customer requirements into practical, cost-effective warehouse automation solutions. This hybrid role blends analytical thinking with commercial insight, working across Sales, Engineering and Operations.

You will build estimates in Excel, review supplier quotations, and collaborate with design teams to identify the best equipment and technologies for bids.

Qualifications

• A good understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, PLC, and Automation Equipment.
• Proficient within Excel to build estimates, calculations and formulas, analyse data and help develop accurate solutions for customers.
• Costing experience desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the Solution Design Team with the development of customer opportunities and proposed solutions.
• Prepare technical specifications and scopes of work for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Work with suppliers to develop practical and cost-effective design solutions.
• Liaise with suppliers to identify the most suitable equipment and technologies for Logistex bids.
• Review and evaluate supplier quotations, resolving any technical or commercial discrepancies.
• Assist with supplier engagement, cost analysis, and bid preparation to support competitive proposals.
