Job summary

Logistex in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the Electrical Design team and deliver high-quality electrical concepts for automated warehouse systems. You will design, document, and optimize electrical solutions using industry-standard tools.

The role requires strong CAD skills (EPlan, AutoCAD), hands-on calculations, and a solid understanding of automation equipment, safety standards, and project coordination with engineering and service teams.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in electrical engineering; degree preferred.
• High competence in electrical design, including calculations and CAD drawings.
• Solid understanding of automation equipment.
• Knowledge of 18th Edition, EN60204, 13849 and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality electrical designs meeting project requirements.
• Produce electrical solutions using EPlan and AutoCAD for installation and service teams.
• Produce safety solutions and power calculations to support the overall design.
• Produce technical documentation to support other departments in execution.
• Coordinate electrical, control and mechanical requirements with Project Engineering for integrated design.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to our ongoing success.

You will be working within the Electrical Design team to produce detail circuit diagrams, component layouts, BOM’s, Calculations as required for Logistex automated warehouse systems.

Key Responsibilities for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer

• Produce high quality electrical designs that meet project requirements and relevant technical standards.
• Produce electrical solutions using Eplan and AutoCad suitable for use by the installation and service support teams.
• Produce safety solutions to current safety standards and power calculations to support the overall solution design.
• Produce technical documentation required to support other departments in the execution of their tasks.
• Work with the Project Engineering team to ensure full co-ordination of electrical, control and mechanical part requirements and a complete integrated design solution.

What We Are Looking For

• Formal Qualification in Electrical Engineering – Preferred Degree, acceptable HND/HNC with suitable relevant design experience.
• High competence in Electrical Design engineering, including conducting appropriate calculations, generating specifications, producing CAD drawings using EPlan, developing design concepts, resolving technical design issues.
• Solid understanding of automation equipment
• Good appreciation of 18th Edition, EN60204, 13849 and other electrical and safety standards
