Job summary

Focus Group is seeking a Solutions Engineer (Networking) to design, deploy, troubleshoot and lead delivery of enterprise networking solutions (SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless and SASE). The role involves visiting customers and working across projects, often on the road, with a mix of remote support and customer sites.

The successful candidate will have strong networking expertise, be able to lead projects and mentor colleagues, hold a full UK driving licence, and enjoy working in a growing

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT support and delivery, ideally within an MSP
• Specialist knowledge in Networking: VLANs, routing and switching, firewalls, WAN/SD-WAN, and wireless design
• The confidence to lead projects and mentor colleagues
• A full, valid UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, troubleshoot and lead the delivery of enterprise networking solutions (SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless and SASE)
• Produce technical documentation and support customers and engineers
• Manage network-focused projects and travel to customer sites 3–4 days a week

Are you an experienced IT engineer who's ready to lead, not just support?

At Focus Group, we're looking for a Solutions Engineer (networking) who will be responsible for designing, deploying, troubleshooting, and leading the delivery of enterprise networking solutions (including SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, firewalls, wireless and SASE), while acting as a technical expert, managing network-focused projects, producing technical documentation, and supporting both customers and engineers.

This is a home & customer site based role with real variety: you'll be out visiting customers 3-4 days a week, from small businesses through to enterprise sites, so you'll need to enjoy being on the road and with customers as much as behind a screen.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Proven experience in an IT support and delivery role - ideally within an MSP setting
• Specialist knowledge in- Networking: VLANs, routing and switching, firewalls, WAN/SD-WAN, and wireless design and deployment (Meraki, Cisco, Fortinet)
• The confidence to lead projects and mentor colleagues
• A full, valid UK driving licence
