Job summary

Linear is seeking a Solutions Engineer to guide customers from evaluation through onboarding and expansion. You will partner with Sales to drive revenue by leading technical discovery, demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution design for prospects and existing customers.

The role is anchored in London with hybrid work: in-office three days a week in Shoreditch, collaborating closely with the regional sales team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Pre-Sales, or similar role at a SaaS company.
• Strong hands-on experience with OAuth2 and GraphQL, data migrations and product integrations.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to engineers and executives.
• Experience with Github and git; Jira preferred.
• CS degree or engineering background preferred.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional partnership across Sales, Product, and Customer Success.
• Comfort with SQL and scripting (Python or JavaScript).

Responsibilities

• Act as the customer's technical advisor across the lifecycle, partnering with Sales and Customer Success.
• Lead technical discovery and architecture for prospects and existing customers; map workflows to Linear configuration.
• Deliver tailored deep-dive demos, proof-of-concepts, security and architecture reviews, and integration workshops.
• Design migrations and implementation plans; hand off to post-sale teams with context, decisions, risks and next steps.
• Build realistic, scalable demo environments and reference configurations for enterprise workflows.
• Codify lifecycle playbooks and enablement: create technical training for sales and post-sale teams.
