My client, a long-established company with a global presence, is looking for an experienced Solutions Designer to join their team.
This is a hybrid role where you will need to work in the office 1 or 2 days a week in Warrington.
The purpose of this role is to design how customers use products and to design changes to those products. The role is a combination of business analysis and systems analysis. The designs cover how to use the software from end user and operational perspectives, interface specifications and the logic the software must perform. You will work closely with development and test to build the solution and more widely with the Project team to support transition to operational environments.
As an experienced Business Systems Analyst / Solutions Designer you will have the following knowledge and experience;
* At Least 2-4 years of previous business systems analysis / solutions design experience
* Understanding of software design: databases, user interfaces, APIs, batch functionality, architecture
* Ability to quickly learn new information about IT systems and business processes from an as-is perspective
* Software design ( can write Functional Specifications, Interface Contracts)
* Experience of working in different methodologies, Waterfall, Agile
* Business process design ( can produce flow diagrams in various styles)
* Ability to turn complex information into easy-to-understand documents for different audiences such as business departments and Engineering teams
* High proficiency in using documentation software including MS Office
* Good personal communication both one to one and in groups: in person, phone, email, messaging, white boards
* Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
* Ability to work with multiple operating systems and computer platforms
* Excellent Software Analysis/Development skills Java, HTML/CSS, XML, SQL
* Excellent understand of CMP batch processes
* Comprehensive understanding of product architecture, including deployment topology, communication protocols and configuration
* Proven experience testing web services using soap UI (open source functional testing tool)
