Job summary

Databricks in London seeks a Solutions Architect to lead technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions and platform adoption. You will combine deep technical skills with strategic thinking to position Databricks as the foundation of clients’ data and AI strategy.

You will develop a technical specialization, lead production-grade designs across data engineering, ML/AI, and analytics, and coordinate DSAs, SSAs, and partners to deliver complex solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, pre-sales, or senior technical roles.
• Strong live coding in Python and SQL; able to build solutions on the fly.
• Expertise in distributed data systems, pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns.
• Proficient with the Databricks Platform; developing a domain specialisation.
• Proven ability to lead architecture discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Experience deploying to public clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP) and governance concerns.
• Track record of platform adoption and customer value communication.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to production deployment.
• Lead architecture discussions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Act as trusted technical advisor to customer architects and Directors.
• Drive technical wins with custom-built Databricks solutions.
• Develop a technical archetype and become go-to domain expert.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources to deliver complex solutions.
