Location: Solihull
Rate: £35.44 PAYE Premium or Umbrella

Solihull Council is seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager (ATM) to join their busy Social Care Mental Health Team. This role is ideal for someone with strong mental health practice experience who can provide high‑quality leadership and operational oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support social work staff within the Mental Health Team
  • Oversee duty systems, ensuring timely responses and effective case coordination
  • Manage and quality‐assure complex casework
  • Promote best practice in mental health social care
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure safe, effective service delivery
Requirements
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
  • Strong background in Mental Health social work
  • AMHP qualification preferred
  • Experience supervising or supporting staff within a fast‑paced environment
