Qualifications

• Previous experience as Mechanical Design Engineer or Product Design Engineer in manufacturing environments.
• Creative approach to problem-solving with a hands-on mindset.
• Excellent attention to detail and passion for high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing new products, taking ideas from the initial concept through to production.
• Creating 3D models, technical drawings and assemblies using SolidWorks.
• Building and testing prototypes, making improvements to ensure products perform well and are ready for manufacture.
• Preparing technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs) and documentation to support production.
• Working closely with the production team to ensure designs are practical, efficient and cost-effective to manufacture.
• Looking at ways to improve existing products through new materials, manufacturing techniques and design enhancements.
• Supporting design changes and continuous improvement projects as products evolve.
