Interaction Engineering is seeking a skilled SolidWorks Design Engineer to join our team in the UK. You will create accurate 3D models and 2D drawings for roofing components, metalwork and brackets, and prepare fabrication details for production and installation.

You will interpret architectural drawings and customer specifications, ensuring designs are practical, cost-effective and manufacturable. Collaboration with production, project management and suppliers is essential for successful

Qualifications

• Proven experience using SolidWorks in a design or engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of 3D modelling and 2D technical drawing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience producing detailed drawings for manufacture or fabrication.
• Good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
• Develop designs for roofing components, metalwork, brackets, flashings and associated products.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings, fabrication details and cutting lists.
• Interpret architectural drawings, technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Ensure designs are accurate, practical and suitable for production and installation.
• Liaise with production, project management, suppliers and installation teams.
• Make design amendments in line with project requirements and feedback.
• Support design development, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate CAD files, drawing revisions and technical documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant technical requirements and company standards.
