Technique Recruitment Solutions is seeking a SolidWorks Design Engineer to join a leading designer and manufacturer of architectural metalwork and structural steelwork in the UK. You will produce high-quality 3D models, fabrication drawings, and technical detailing for bespoke projects, collaborating with commercial, production and installation teams.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience producing 3D models and fabrication drawings.
• Proficient in SolidWorks with attention to detail.
• Able to work with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks for architectural metalwork and structural steel projects.
• Prepare fabrication drawings, part drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate with senior draughtsmen to ensure designs meet requirements and standards.
• Apply best practices in design and manufacturing processes for metalwork and steel.]
• Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field (or equivalent educational background).
• Knowledge of engineering principles and basic structural analysis.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials in architectural metalwork and structural steel is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate documentation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
