Job summary

Alfred H Knight in Dundonald is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our analytical team. You will perform a wide range of testing across solid fuels, including coal, coke, biomass, RDF and SRF, ensuring results meet accuracy, traceability and ISO accreditation standards.

The role requires working independently to high precision, maintaining auditable records, carrying out routine equipment checks, and communicating results clearly to clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform analytical methods and SOPs to a high degree of precision and accuracy.
• Understanding of ISO 17025, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Capability to process QC and analytical data unsupervised in preparation for authorization.
• Ability to perform routine equipment checks and maintain clean, auditable records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out analytical testing across solid fuels (coal, coke, biomass, RDF, SRF).
• Work independently to high precision and accuracy standards.
• Support ISO accreditation and maintain traceable records.
