Responsibilities

• Provide clear, accurate and timely advice, assistance, and representation to clients across a broad spectrum of criminal matters.
• Manage a busy, fast-moving caseload while maintaining excellent client care and meeting key deadlines.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations, including those set by the Legal Aid Agency and the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
• Accurately recording time, progressing matters efficiently, and meeting agreed billing/performance targets.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department, offering support and contributing to a positive team culture.
• Keep legal knowledge up to date, participate in supervision, and maintain relevant accreditations.

The successful candidate will undertake a diverse caseload of criminal matters. The role includes providing representation at the police station and undertaking court work.

• A professional and supportive approach to teamwork, combined with the ability to work independently when required.
