Shakespeare Martineau’s Banking and Finance team seeks a Banking Solicitor / Associate with 2-7 PQE to join the firm. You will assist on banking transactions, help with document production, and contribute to business development. Travel within the East Midlands and wider Midlands may be required, with a mix of independent work and team collaboration.
The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, commercial awareness and a willingness to develop relationships with clients in a growing practice.
Working with some of the UK’s largest financial institutions ensures our Banking and Finance team offers unrivalled expertise with high level knowledge of the issues affecting the sector and the businesses operating within it. The team advise on banking law for both lenders and borrowers, advising on a wide range of property finance, acquisition finance and corporate transactions with specialisms in the healthcare, social care and education sectors. Our experience has developed through working with high street banks, challenger banks, peer to peer funders, invoice discounters and asset-based lenders and corporate borrowers on a number of complex transactions.
We are seeking a Banking Solicitor / Associate 2-7PQE (however we will consider NQ applications with suitable previous experience) to join our Banking and Finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical skills, commercial awareness, and a keen interest in business development, ready to expand their client portfolio. Working well both independently and part of a successful team, you’ll be ready to embark on the next stage of your career where you will be supported and encouraged during this period of growth. This role is being recruited ideally in the East Midlands region, however we're open to applicants from wider Midlands region who are willing to travel as and when required.
