Job summary

Browne Jacobson is seeking a Banking & Finance Solicitor to handle a broad range of complex and high-value transactions. The role supports major UK banks and a prestigious client base, with a focus on acquisition and property finance, restructuring and refinancing.

You will work alongside Corporate and Real Estate teams, advising on a variety of banking matters, leading deals from instruction to completion, and helping to grow the practice through business development.

Qualifications

• Experience in banking and finance matters including acquisition/property/asset-based lending, restructuring or refinancing.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent commercial awareness and client-focused approach.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive, ambitious and collaborative mindset with a interest in business development.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on banking and finance transactions and arrangements.
• Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor agreements.
• Lead and support transactions from instruction to completion.
• Manage client relationships and attend client meetings.
• Supervise junior team members and coordinate transaction workstreams.
• Support business development and help grow the team's profile and client base.

Job description

Banking & Finance Solicitor to be based from Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham or Cardiff.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Banking & Finance Solicitor to join our highly regarded team, acting on a broad range of complex and high-value transactions for a prestigious client base, including major UK banks such as Lloyds, NatWest, HSBC, Santander and Clydesdale Bank.

Working alongside colleagues across our Corporate and Real Estate teams, you will advise clients on a variety of banking and finance matters, including acquisition finance, property finance, asset-based lending, restructuring and refinancing.

What you'll be doing

• Advising clients on banking and finance transactions and arrangements.
• Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor agreements.
• Leading and supporting transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Managing client relationships and attending client meetings.
• Supervising junior team members and coordinating transaction workstreams.
