Job summary

LR Legal Recruitment in Romford is seeking a Litigation Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join a long-established firm. You will manage a varied contentious caseload with autonomy and direct client contact.

You will work on contentions probate, commercial and civil litigation, breach of contract, property disputes and debt recovery, with opportunities to supervise junior team members and progress within a growing team. Excellent progression and a generous bonus scheme accompany the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ PQE in litigation or related fields.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and case management skills.
• Experience managing a varied caseload independently and excellent client care.

Responsibilities

• Manage own varied caseload of contentious matters with autonomy and direct client contact.
• Liaise with counsel, prepare matters for hearings and trials, and supervise junior team members.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Litigation Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE to join a long-established, multi sited and highly regarded law firm in Romford.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor looking for high-quality work, genuine career progression and the chance to take on increasing responsibility within a supportive and growing team.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of contentious matters, working closely with experienced solicitors while enjoying plenty of autonomy and direct client contact.

Your work will include:

• Contentious probate and inheritance disputes
• Commercial and civil litigation
• Breach of contract claims
• Property and building disputes
• Debt recovery and insolvency

You will also have the opportunity to work with counsel, prepare matters for hearings and trials, develop your advocacy skills and become involved in the supervision of junior team members.

The Opportunity

This role offers real scope to progress. The firm is looking for someone who is ambitious, commercially minded and keen to develop into a senior member of the litigation team.

You will be encouraged to develop your own areas of expertise, build client relationships and become increasingly involved in business development and networking.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• 3+ years’ PQE with solid general litigation experience
• Strong drafting, negotiation and case management skills
• Experience managing a varied caseload independently
• Excellent client care and communication skills
• Advocacy experience or a desire to develop advocacy skills
• A proactive and commercially minded approachAn interest in business development and networking
• LEAP experience would be advantageous but is not essential
