Job summary
Astute People, on behalf of a global renewable energy services provider, is recruiting a Solar Technician for sites in and around Peterborough. You will carry out maintenance across ground-mounted solar assets and inspect electrical systems, reporting to the Regional Manager.

Qualifications
- Experience on utility-scale solar projects.
- Level 3 electrical qualification required.
- ECS card held or eligible.
- 2391 Test & Inspection desirable.
- HV Authorized Person status desirable.
- Strong knowledge of testing equipment and electrical instruments.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across ground-mounted solar assets.
- Test and inspect electrical systems; identify faults and repair where possible.
- Liaise with equipment suppliers to troubleshoot on site.
- Complete daily reports detailing work and site activities.
- Perform fault finding on AC and DC systems.
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation and company procedures.
- Supervise third-party contractors on site.
- Participate in weekend call-out rota with additional payment.
- Occasional travel and overnight stays as required.
