Job summary

Valor is seeking a Solar PV Service & Maintenance Electrician to service and repair solar PV and battery storage systems across domestic and commercial properties. The role is field-based, based around Rochester, Kent, and involves fault-finding, servicing and preventative maintenance.

You will diagnose faults, carry out electrical testing and communicate findings to customers, working independently within a growing renewable energy team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with strong electrical fault-finding experience.
• Confident diagnosing and resolving electrical issues independently.
• Good understanding of electrical testing, inspection and safe isolation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional approach when dealing with customers.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining domestic and commercial solar PV systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on inverters and battery storage systems.
• Investigating system performance issues, generation faults and error codes.
• Carrying out electrical testing, inspection and remedial works.
• Troubleshooting monitoring systems and communication faults.
• Replacing faulty electrical components and equipment.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs.
• Producing accurate service reports and communicating findings to customers.
