Job summary

Valoris Group is recruiting a Solar PV Service & Maintenance Electrician to join our growing renewables team. You''ll service and repair solar PV and battery storage systems across domestic and commercial sites, working field-based mainly around Rochester, Kent.

You'll diagnose faults, perform servicing, testing, and preventative maintenance, and produce clear service reports for customers. A qualified electrician with fault-finding experience and a full UK driving licence is essential.

Valoris Group is recruiting a Solar PV Service & Maintenance Electrician to join a growing renewable energy specialist, maintaining and repairing solar PV and battery storage systems across domestic and commercial properties.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrician who enjoys problem-solving, working independently and getting to the bottom of technical faults.

The Role

You'll be responsible for keeping solar PV and battery storage systems running safely and efficiently, carrying out servicing, fault diagnosis, repairs and preventative maintenance.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Servicing and maintaining domestic and commercial solar PV systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on inverters and battery storage systems.
• Investigating system performance issues, generation faults and error codes.
• Carrying out electrical testing, inspection and remedial works.
• Troubleshooting monitoring systems and communication faults.
• Replacing faulty electrical components and equipment.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs.
• Producing accurate service reports and communicating findings to customers.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Electrician with strong electrical fault-finding experience.
• Confident diagnosing and resolving electrical issues independently.
• Good understanding of electrical testing, inspection and safe isolation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional approach when dealing with customers.
• Full UK driving licence.

Highly Desirable:

• Previous solar PV servicing or maintenance experience.
• Experience with battery storage systems and solar inverters.
• Familiarity with SolarEdge, Fox ESS, SolaX or similar manufacturers.
• Knowledge of AC/DC systems and renewable energy technologies.
• Inspection and testing qualifications.
