Job summary

Ganymede Energy is seeking an experienced Solar PV Electrician to lead electrical installations, testing and commissioning of Solar PV systems across new-build housing developments. You will collaborate with roofing and installation teams to ensure safe, high-quality workmanship and accurate handovers.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services, 18th Edition BS 7671, and Level 3 Inspection and Testing, plus proven Solar PV installation experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Level 3 Inspection and Testing qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience installing grid-connected or off-grid Solar PV systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.
• Confidence working at height and alongside other trades.

Responsibilities

• Installing and connecting Solar PV systems, including DC and AC cabling.
• Installing and wiring inverters, batteries and associated electrical equipment.
• Completing electrical testing, fault finding and commissioning.
• Carrying out remedial works, repairs and maintenance where required.
• Working safely at height and following all site health and safety requirements.
• Completing installation paperwork and providing clear handover information.
