Job summary

EDG INSTALLATIONS LIMITED is looking for a dedicated Solar PV Electrician. The role is full-time, with on-site installation and service work for residential and commercial properties.

You will wire inverters and electrical components, perform testing, diagnose faults, and prepare installation reports while ensuring safety standards are followed and customers are kept informed. The position supports remote administration and coordination but requires regular on-site site visits to complete

Qualifications

• Solid electrical installation skills across wiring, protection and testing.
• Knowledge of solar PV components including inverters and batteries.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, manuals and specs.
• Strong safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
• Good problem solving for faults and repairs.
• Clear communication and teamwork with customers and colleagues.
• Proficient with digital tools for scheduling and documentation.
• Relevant electrician certification and a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and troubleshoot solar PV systems for clients.
• Wire inverters, batteries and associated electrical components.
• Perform electrical testing to ensure safe operation.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs and routine inspections.
• Prepare installation reports and test certificates, keep docs up to date.
• Follow electrical safety standards and coordinate with customers on site.
