Job summary

SOLOS Consultants Ltd is seeking an experienced Programme Officer to support a major Solar PV and Battery Storage Energy Services programme in Chichester. Hybrid working, temporary contract, 24 August 2026 start, finish 31 December 2026.

You will coordinate communications, monitor progress, maintain records, and ensure projects stay on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a project, programme, or coordination role.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across several projects simultaneously.
• Experience producing reports, tracking actions, and maintaining project documentation.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Confident liaising with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide programme and project support across a portfolio of Solar PV and Battery Storage projects.
• Coordinate and maintain effective communication plans, ensuring stakeholder engagement activities are planned, delivered, and evaluated.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with contractors, consultants, schools, planning teams, internal departments, and external partners.
• Support monitoring of programme progress, timelines, risks, actions, and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reporting information.
• Attend project meetings, capture actions, and support follow-up activities.
• Assist with preparation of reports, presentations, and programme updates.
• Support compliance with statutory requirements, governance processes, and business case objectives.
• Work collaboratively with the wider programme team to resolve issues and support successful project delivery.
• Undertake occasional site visits across the region as required.
