Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions in Glasgow is seeking a Solar PV Design Engineer to support the delivery of solar PV and battery storage installations across housing associations, councils and registered social landlords in Scotland. Salary circa £30-35k DOE.

You will manage the complete design process from initial address allocation and grid connection applications through to post-installation design amendments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

Designing solar PV and battery storage systems to meet project specifications.
Knowledge of grid connection processes (G98/G59) and compliance standards.
Experience with PV design software and interpreting survey data.
Ability to coordinate with surveyors, installers and DNOs.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage G98/G99 grid connection applications with DNOs, tracking approvals.
Produce compliant solar PV and battery storage designs using EasyPV or equivalent software.
Review survey information and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain schedules.
Update designs to reflect as-built installations and manage revisions.
Generate BOMs, installation reports and maintain project documentation.
Ensure designs comply with MCS standards, BS 7671 and client specifications.
