Job summary

Energy Jobline ATTB is seeking a Solar O&M Technician for a leading renewables business, based in the Leeds / North Yorkshire region and supporting sites across the UK. You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on utility-scale solar PV assets.

Reporting to the O&M Manager, you will diagnose faults, carry out inspections, and assist with commissioning while upholding HSE policies. The role offers a competitive salary, a company vehicle and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, Electrical Engineering or related.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting or commissioning electrical systems.
• Previous experience within utility-scale or commercial solar PV would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across utility-scale solar PV sites.
• Diagnose and repair faults on solar PV systems, electrical equipment and infrastructure.
• Respond to reactive maintenance callouts to minimise site downtime.
• Complete scheduled inspections and ensure sites remain compliant with health and safety standards.
• Produce accurate maintenance reports and record all completed work.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and site reliability.
• Assist with the commissioning of new solar PV installations.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
• Other duties as required.
