Job summary

Lightsource bp is seeking a Field Service Engineer to maintain our solar plants, performing preventative and corrective electrical tasks across the region. You’ll work remotely? No, on-site at various UK sites.

The role emphasizes safety, fault diagnosis, and timely reporting in line with Lightsource BP standards. Ideally you are electrically qualified with City & Guilds 2382-18 and Level 3 Electrical NVQ, hold a full driving licence, and can travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications required to install and maintain PV systems.
• Proactive, autonomous and safety-conscious candidate.
• Ability to work remotely without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to HSE procedures and participate in risk assessments.
• Perform maintenance on electrical components, inverters, modules, CCTV and monitoring systems.
• Prepare detailed service reports according to Lightsource BP standards, remotely if needed.
• Deliver electrical maintenance services across a region with possible travel to other regions.
• Assist in compiling insurance and warranty claims.
• Take ownership of assigned sites and manage relationships with local subcontractors.
