Job Description

Solar Farm Electrical Improvers/Mates/Labourers required to work 15 miles West of Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. Please do not apply if you do NOT drive or have your own transport. You must also have your UTR number through CIS and a valid CSCS or ECS Card to be allowed on site. You will undergo random drug tests from time to time, so do not apply if you think you will fail these tests.

My client is happy to take on a Domestic Improver/Electrician's Mate or a good Labourer, if you fancy a change of scene and want to try something different from domestic electrical work.

Solar is more niche, and full training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Pulling cables & cable laying
2. Make off MC4 connectors at panels and combiner boxes
3. Terminate communication cables
4. Perform more hands-on electrical work as the contract progresses

Working hours:

You must be able to work Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm, with one hour for lunch, totaling a 9-hour day and a 45-hour workweek. Due to site busyness, only applicants who can work the full week should apply. Overtime on Saturdays may be possible.

This is a minimum 3-month contract, with potential for more opportunities if you perform well, as the client is continuously developing new Solar Farms.

Rates (non-negotiable, based on skills and certifications):

• A) Labourer with valid Green CSCS card: £15.55/hr
• B) Mate with 2 years electrical experience, ECS and Level 2: £16.66/hr
• C) Improver with 3+ years electrical skills, ECS and Level 3: £17.77/hr
