Job summary

PT Renewables is seeking a Design Manager for a permanent role in Leicester with hybrid working. You will lead the solar PV design function from concept through delivery, ensuring buildable, compliant designs and setting technical standards across the portfolio.

Key focus areas include coordinating design output, using Revit and IFC workflows, and maintaining design standards while collaborating with operations and delivery teams.

Qualifications

• Proven design experience within the construction industry.
• Strong solar PV design experience, ideally at commercial and industrial scale.
• Genuine proficiency in Revit and IFC workflows
• The ability to manage design across multiple concurrent projects without losing technical rigour.
• Thorough working knowledge of relevant standards, and the confidence to apply and enforce them meaningfully.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and coordinating design output across multiple concurrent commercial solar PV projects.
• Producing and reviewing detailed designs using Revit and IFC-based workflows.
• Ensuring all designs meet relevant standards, grid requirements and regulatory frameworks - with compliance built into the process, not bolted on at the end.
• Maintaining and developing design standards, processes and documentation - single-line diagrams, equipment schedules, string layouts, shading analysis and yield assessments.
• Working closely with project and delivery teams for a smooth handover from design to construction.
• Supporting technical queries, design reviews and value engineering across the portfolio.
