Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is helping a specialist consultancy recruit a Solar Design Engineer. Based in Birmingham with hybrid working, the role focuses on training on building services while leveraging a solar background to design solutions for Solar PV, HVAC and other building services.

You will use AutoCAD to design civil engineering solutions, support projects from concept to completion, and occasionally visit sites to assess client requirements.

Qualifications

• Design Engineer with solar or renewables background.
• Willing to undergo in-house training on building services.
• Ability to work in hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD to design civil engineering solutions.
• Support projects from concept to completion including Solar PV installation and HVAC.
• Occasional site visits to assess client needs and problem solve.
• 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday; 8:30 - 5pm, hybrid working after probation.
